What type of learner are you?

Yesterday, after Ames Hawkin's lecture on lectures, we discussed the modes of learning that you respond best to. Share your entry with the class.

  1. I am a all around learner it kinda depends on the subject.

If its english I'd rather have the teacher just sit around and talk and take notes the whole time.

Math and Science; I would have to be a hands on learner and a note taker because Im really not really stupid but just i dnt get it no matter how much you teach it.

The caretaker and coach and mom role of the teacher needs to be all in one so that i can understand and want to learn the subject.

  2. Hey guys!!! :)
The way that i learn best is I need hands on learning. I have to have things explained to me like 50 times (I'm kinda slow)! Anyway but yea when a teacher just hands us work and tells me to do it, im not going to be able to understand what im doing. I like to interact with learning and understand what I'm doing, thats how I learn!

  3. I'm more of a hands on learning, if someone is teaching me how to do something, it has to be in front of me. I remember how to do something a lot better that way.

  4. I am a visual and physical learner. in order for me to learn best i have to see things with my own eyes. sometimes feeling objects that have to do with my assignment or studys helps me learn faster too. some things to help myself study at home are flashcards and making games related to what i'm studying.

  5. yesterday's lecture was pretty okay for the most part it kept my attention the whole time. the type of learner i am is really simple. over the years i have had many teachers and its much easier to earn when your teacher is not too strict but at the same time caring enough to be able to guide you in the right path. i guess its like a combination of the mom teacher and a coach thats perfect

Learning is easier for me when theres a discussion. So ultimately i enjoy lectures and i enjoy being a part of them. In essence im a audiotory learner. someone is waiting for my computer, but thanks for reading!

  8. i need to be active in order to learn. i can't sit and listen to someone talk forever. i'm a physical and visual learner. i need to see what we're talking in front of me. one on one is also very helpful when i'm trying to learn something new

  10. Im more a hands on and visual learner....i have to see nothing but examples, pictures and color to understand more better. When people tell me something it takes me a second because i have to repeat your question then ill respond-i know werid huh?...... I cant learn if you just put it in my face and dont help me.I also like a loud and cheerful teacher because it could keep you stay awake and alive. I also like when a teacher is always on you bout your work because it shows you that they care bout the student more like a goofy teacher that you wouldnt beable to take seriously.

  12. I am watch and learn type of learner. But it has to be interesting in order for me to wanna learn. And the person teaching me has to be a very interesting instuctor. The instructor has to keep my attention in order for me to learn.
